This weekend I'm in Hamilton photographing the Ontario NDP's convention. This shot is from NDP Leader Andrea Horwath's keynote speech to delegates earlier this afternoon.

On our last night in Hawaii, my brother and I stayed up late to photograph the night sky over Lahaina on the island of Maui. I'd never really tried night sky photography before - at least not with any success. I didn't have a tripod with me so I pushed the camera up against this palm tree and the results were pretty decent.

I'm not quite sure how long I'd been using the old branding, probably about 2.5 years or so. For a few months now I've wanted a cleaner, lighter website, that was less busy.
Gone is the thick, heavy Helvetica. It's been replaced by thin and light Helvetica.
Gone is the Photo of the Day feature. After 3.5 years, the browse function had become bogged down. There were too many photos on the site and that hurt the experience on the site. In it's place I've added this blog which is something I've wanted to include and had never gotten around to. It's on this blog that I'll post updates on my current work as well as the work of others that I like.
Also replacing the Photo of the Day are a series of albums showcasing some of my best and most interesting work:
And that photo you see on the main page? It's not always going to be the same. It's set up to randomly show a new image each time you reload the page.
I hope you like the new site as much as I do.
